The 93rd Bomb Group Museum in the UK

The museum is in two Nissen huts at Hardwick which were in Communal Site 3. It is a short distance from the 93rd Memorial and from the hangar at Hardwick Airfield. The hangar houses Maurice Hammond's P-51D "Janie", Harvard (AT-6) and other aircraft.

The museum has "Open Day" on the 3rd Sunday of each month, May-October. It is maintained by Paul Thrower, Curator, assisted by Colin Mann, Roger Fenton and other volunteers. They are constantly working to add to and improve the museum. It is supported entirely by donations. Paul can almost always make the museum available to visiting 93rd veterans and their families.

Any 93rd veteran who has mementos of his service at Hardwick or other items suitable for display in the museum and would like to donate them to Paul for the collection can obtain Paul's address from the webmaster@93rdbombardmentgroup.com

Here are a few photos of the museum, taken in August 2005.
