93rd Bomb Group Savannah Reunion

July 13th – 17th, 2006

Another great reunion for the 93rd family. 36 93rd veterans were present, including 4 who were with the 93rd when it went to England in 1942 - Al Asch, Lewellen "Lew" Brown, Miles League and John "Packy" Roche. All except Al were on the 1 August 1943 Ploesti mission; Al had already finished his combat tour. Total attendance, including descendants and family members was 116. We were also privileged to have our good friends from England - Colin Mann, Wendy Annison and Jackie Sewards- present. Events included a "trolley" tour of old Savannah, visits to the Mighty 8th AF Museum, a memorial service at the chapel at the museum and a river boat ride and, of course, much talk in the hospitality room.

Here are some photos of some of the events.
